1) Scope of Services
Dr Ma-G Education provides motivational talks, teacher development workshops, consulting, and related educational services to schools, districts and community stakeholders in South Africa (primary focus: Western Cape) and online.
2) Bookings & Confirmation
- Provisional dates may be held for up to 5 working days.
- A booking is confirmed once written acceptance is received and, where applicable, a deposit is paid.
- For on-site events, the client agrees to provide venue access, audio/visual requirements, and a programme contact person.
3) Pricing & Payment
- Standard rates are published on the Payments page and/or in formal quotations.
- Payments are accepted via PayFast (card, Instant EFT, Scan-to-Pay) or EFT by arrangement.
- Invoices are due upon receipt unless otherwise stated in writing.
4) Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Client cancellation: 7+ days before the event: full refund; 2–6 days: 50% refund; within 24 hours: non-refundable. (Where a deposit was paid, this schedule applies to the deposit.)
- Rescheduling: We will accommodate new dates wherever possible at no charge if advised at least 3 working days in advance.
- Presenter cancellation: In the unlikely event we must cancel, a full refund for any pre-payments will be issued, or a mutually agreed alternative date will be offered.
5) Travel & Logistics
- Events in the Western Cape include standard travel within Cape Town metro.
- Outside metro or after-hours work may include travel/time surcharges by prior agreement.
6) Conduct & Safeguarding
We operate with professionalism, punctuality and respect for school policies. The client is responsible for ensuring appropriate supervision of learners at all times.
7) Intellectual Property
All slides, handouts, frameworks and original content remain the intellectual property of Dr Ma-G Education unless explicitly licensed in writing. Recording or reproduction requires prior written consent.
8) Media & Photography
Photos or short clips may be taken for positive, non-identifying promotional use unless the client provides written notice prohibiting this prior to the event. No learner faces will be featured without explicit permission.
9) Privacy
We only collect basic contact and booking details to deliver services and issue invoices/receipts. Payment processing is handled by PayFast on secure pages; we do not store card details. See our Privacy Policy for details.
10) Liability
Services are delivered with due care and professional skill. To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific engagement.
11) Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for delays or non-performance caused by events beyond reasonable control (e.g., severe weather, power outages, strikes, illness). Parties will cooperate to reschedule.
12) Refunds
Refunds are handled in line with our Refund & Returns Policy.
13) Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Venue for any disputes shall be within South Africa.
